ABOUT US

There is a lot of chatter about the direction of our Chinuch system and our children both at home and in schools.

The problems are easy to identify and talk about. We felt that these need to be addressed in a positive, practical and acceptable way.

Chinuch Through Connection (CTC) has been addressing this issue for over three years with a two pronged approach.

The first is to equip schools, teachers and administration with the knowledge they need to handle

day to day issues from a perspective of connection and not merely control.

The other is to cater this for parents at home as well. There are two areas here:

1) Teaching parents how to connect and respond to the needs of their children at all times.

2) Teaching parents how to model and instill these skills into the children so they become their own.

The ultimate goal is to bridge this gap and have every child immersed in this type of environment,

from morning until night. Every single day of the year.

More recently, a third area was identified and addressed - Equipping young adults, boys and girls, with basic communication, relationship and emotional skills. Tools and ideas that can help them succeed as they pursue careers, marriage and having a family.

At the core and foundation of Chinuch Through Connection is the understanding and appreciation that Torah, Chassidus and our Rebbeim provide all the answers. All these fundamental ideas that were only recently taught and written by modern day psychology, if true and appropriate, can be found there.

WHAT WE DO

home

Chinuch starts at home. Our job as parents is to create and solidify connections on a daily basis. Realizing the incredible potential our children have and the valuable job that we were entrusted to do. Courses are offered throughout the year as well as one on one follow up. In addition, parents have the opportunity to be mentored through a specific situation or challenge.

camp

Training and mentoring for camp counselors and staff members has often been neglected. The truth is that a well equipped counselor has the opportunity to turn the summer for each camper into a healthy and thriving environment. A camp that is well informed about the behavior of a child can absolutely have a calm, positive summer where the camp staff can deal with any issues that may arise from homesickness to bullying and everything else.

school

Interactive training sessions for school staff. Follow up discussions and implementation strategies. One-on-one mentoring for new teachers or teachers looking to make positive changes in their teaching approach. To date, over 17 schools across the globe have taken part in the course.
